The painting shows two very steep wood-clad mountain sides down to a lake. There is a small cabin at the shore, and a rowing boat lies on the water. The dramatic cloud formations and the beautiful moon makes the picture eye-catching and fascinating, but since the painting is kept in very soft dark green and grey colors, there is still an idyllic calm in the picture.

The painting is painted as a future illustration for a fantasy book Majbrit is writing, and which she hopes to have more time for in the future. Therefore, she also reserves the rights to use it as an illustration in a possible future book.

Maleriet viser to meget stejle træbeklædte bjergsider ned til sø, hvor der ligger lille hytte og robåd. De dramatiske skyformationer og den store smukke måne gør billede iøjefaldende og fascinerende, men da søen er spejlblank og i ro, og da maleriet er holdt i meget bløde mørk grønne og grå farver, er der stadig en idyllisk ro i billedet.

Maleriet er malet som fremtidig illustration til en fantasybog, som Majbrit skriver på, og som hun håber på at få mere tid til fremover. Derfor forbeholder hun sig også rettighederne til at bruge det som illustration i en eventuelt fremtidig bog.
